Description:
- The Developmental Cognitive Neuroimaging Laboratory at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, part of the Department of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine at USC, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow.
- Research focus: Investigating brain and behavior relationships in children and adolescents to understand the genetic and environmental impacts on brain development.
- Methodology: Utilizing behavioral, survey, biomarkers, and neuroimaging approaches.
- Seeking an accomplished and motivated postdoctoral researcher with expertise in computational and image analysis skills, particularly in multi-modal neuroimaging.
- Position involves working on two NIH-funded studies:
1. The Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study: Longitudinal study following over 10,000 children from ages 9-10 into early adulthood, integrating various assessments to understand life trajectories.
2. The Prenatal Alcohol in SIDS and Stillbirth (PASS) study: Collaborative study with the University of Cape Town to examine brain and behavior development in South African children prenatally exposed to alcohol.
- Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, conference presentations, manuscript preparation, publication, participation in meetings, grant writing/revision, and other assigned tasks.
