Position: PhD Position in Cyber-physical Systems and Automation

Position Summary:
- Two fully-funded Ph.D. positions with a graduate research assistantship in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)
- Research focus on cyber-physical systems, communication, and control with applications in intelligent transportation, connected & autonomous vehicles, smart mobility, and smart grid
- Investigating methodologies for designing Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) with assurance and resilience
- Interdisciplinary research in embedded systems, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, quantum machine learning, formal methods, controls, and robotics

Expected Start Date:
- Fall 2023 or Spring 2024
Requirements:
- Diligence, strong motivation, and high ambition in research for successful Ph.D. study
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering/science/computer science/applied math discipline
- GPA >= 3.20 on a scale of 4.0
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with C++, Python, and MATLAB
- Ability to learn new topics with minimal to no guidance
- English proficiency: IELTS >= 6.5, TOEFL iBT >= 80.0
- GRE encouraged but not required
