Elnaz Kabir’s Research Lab (Laboratory for Advancing Sustainable Energy Resilient), Texas A&M University, College Station, USA.
I have two GRA (Graduate Research Assistant) positions in Fall 2024 for PhD students to work at the interface of data analytics, machine learning, and applied optimization with a focus on Power Outage Management and Renewable Energy Integration Applications.
Interested applicants with the following qualifications are encouraged to contact me at ekabir@tamu.edu with their CV and a brief statement of research experiences.
(1) Solid understanding of machine learning, data analytics, and optimization techniques, and applying them to substantial, real-world data sets.
(2) Proficiency in programming with Python or R for data analysis and machine learning purposes, and expertise in using optimization tools, such as Gurobi, within a Python or Matlab environment.
(3) Previous (i) coursework in Electric Power System Analysis or related areas, and (ii) experience in data preprocessing and web scraping would be a plus!
