The Boto lab is recruiting! We have Postdoc and PhD positions available to work on a Wellcome Trust-funded project on the interaction of sensory perception and memory in Drosophila.
Our lab is interested in the dissection of neural circuits that modulate memory. We use a combination of molecular, imaging and behavioural approaches to study how dopaminergic neurons modulate brain activity and behaviour.
Postdoc: We are looking for a creative and collaborative candidate with a Ph.D. in biological or brain sciences, ideally with experience in Drosophila neurobiology, behaviour and/or confocal/multi photon microscopy.
PhD Student: We are looking for a candidate with a degree in biology or neuroscience and previous experience in molecular biology, neurobiology or genetics. A Masters degree in a related field will be desirable.
The Boto lab is located in the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience, which combines a concentrated expertise in Drosophila behavioral genetics with an environment that supports interactions and collaborations with rodent and human neuroscientists. Trinity College Dublin is Ireland's leading university, committed to inclusivity and research excellence.
Interested candidates can submit a letter of interest, CV and contact information for two references to botot@tcd.ie. Deadline for applications March 31st, 2024.
Informal inquiries are also welcomed.
