Dr. Amir Sanati Nezhad:
The BioMEMS and Bioinspired Microfluidic laboratory at the University of Calgary is actively seeking three postdoctoral researchers for the development and testing of smart capsules integrating imaging, sensing, and sampling functionalities. The aim is to significantly improve screening and early diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases (IBD, IBS, CRC) and explore the diversity of GI microbiome through the implementation of non-invasive technology solutions. This collaborative project involves partnerships with international researchers and industry collaborators.
We are looking for candidates with expertise and significant experience in the following areas:
- biosensor development (including electrochemical, chemiluminescence, and electrochemiluminescence),
- capillary microfluidics, biomaterials, injection molding, advanced 3D printing
- advanced materials/molecules (e.g., molecularly imprinted polymers, aptamers, stable antibodies, and nanobodies)
- smart endoscopy capsules
- smart sampling and drug delivery
- multiomics analysis
- bioinformatics.
