Connected and Automated Transportation Systems (CATS) Lab at Michigan State University (MSU) has multiple graduate Research Assistantship (RA) position openings on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) from Summer/Fall 2024 in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). Selected students will conduct research on diverse multidisciplinary aspects of ITS, connected and automated mobility services, artificial intelligence/machine learning modeling, and traffic safety and operations.
Required Skills:
- Strong background/interest in Machine Learning Modeling
- Interest in Transportation Network Modeling and
- Optimization
- Background in Data Science, Big Data Analytics
- Programming Skills: C++, Python, Java, Matlab
Applicants must have an engineering (BS or MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
